Visit of Dog Yard (2 hours)

Perfect first experience with family and kids or larger groups; get to know more about the Canadian pure breed Eskimos dog’s life in the Arctic. We will first start with a presentation on “Sled Dog”; learn on their history, pack’s habits, feeding strategies and many more. Once the multi-media presentation will be over, we will directly go to the yard and meet the team. With the musher, take part to the routine: care and feeding on the menu. Kids are welcome to play and pet our safe and friendly sled dogs. If you are lucky, we may have young puppies to cuddle with. Bring your camera of course you can have that awesome picture taken with one of your new furry friend.

Cultural tour of the Capital (2 hours)

Discover Iqaluit, Nunavut’s Capital. On the menu: museum, visitor center, art gallery and an historical tour. Your guide, a truth “Nunavummiut” will present you his own town like no book can do. Driving around, he will present you, historical, unique and exclusive features about town. Learn how houses are built, where water, electricity and food are coming from, learn on health care services etc. Feel free to ask questions, there is explanation for everything.

Fly-fishing workshop (3 hours)

Fly-fishing is a unique way of catching your dinner. Arctic char, a strong fighter, will give you an incredible experience, see it jumping out of water, and feel it running down the river using current to his advantage. Your guide and experience angler will introduce you to the basic knowledge of fly-fishing, choosing that perfect fly, casting technics etc. Spent a perfect afternoon and impress your friend with that monster fish on a picture.
